Rapidly Evolving Corporate Strategy for China

First day of the China Access 2008 Beijing Program wrap up notes The first day of workshop and keynotes behind us, we can now focus on working our China strategy!

Today Alan Carroll and Andrew Gilkes welcome a solid group of talented people from all around the globe working in various fields.

Interested listeners We heard anecdotes and success stories from various people including Simon Cousins, an Australian now living and working in Beijing. He runs a 40 person outsourcing development firm and is an advisor to the Chinese government for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He has also been a key person working on the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

Lyn Kok of Standard Chartered Bank Lyn Kok who head the Multinational Corporate Stretegy at the Standard Chartered Bank (UK/China) gave a great presentation on the growth of the chinese market and the growing economy.

Robin Chambers of Chambers & Company, a veteran China strategist who has been coming to China for over 25 years shared his views and expertise with the 25 participants.

Alan Trounson, a leader and Professor in stem cell science at Monash University in Australia spoke about research and science innovation in China and Australia.

Chris Savoie, Chairman and CEO of GNI, a Japanese Bioresearch company spoke about his partnership with China to do research for new drugs and bio science. China access 2008These are only a few of the many speakers and participants that attended the forum and shared their strategies and success stories.

We also had various opportunities to speak with other China enthusiasts and optimists about their plans.

Alan and Andrew provided us with some solid information on how business are run in China, the logistics of doing business here, how to access visa permits and secure help from the government.
